Valencià Engraellat in the Feast of Misericordia in Reus 2013

The group Recuperacions extraordinàries of Valencia brings to the Festival of Misericordia of Reus the traditional ignition engreallat valencià. This is a pyrotechnic demonstration mascletà predecessor of today.

This sample uses pyrotechnic canterellas and morteres similar to the mortar used for tronada in Reus, although they have a flat base while valencianas canterellas must be driven into the ground, so that becomes an exclusive detail Valencian fireworks. This traditional way of fireworks in Valencia was practiced until the early twentieth century and has recently recovered from 2002.
