A total of 19 municipalities have joined Priorat and the Route of the Pools of Priorat, an initiative organized by the Regional Council of Priorat and the Association of Small Hotels and lodgings Priorat, with support from the Tarragona.

The main objective of this game is that tourists who stay in rural Priorat have free access to all municipal swimming pools of different municipalities. According to the head of the Tourism Council of the District of Priorat, Roser Vives, the goal is to make 'joint promotion of the territory' and supplemented with different gastronomic routes, cultural and entertaining and has the county.

The ticket, which allows free entry to all swimming pools, will cost eight euros and twelve if individual whether at the family level. In both cases, it lasts five days. Not to buy this ticket, the cost of getting into a swimming pool round between three and five euros per day depending on the pool and whether it is weekend or weekday.

According to live the great advantage of this initiative is that instead of 'enjoyment' of a single pool can be visited nineteen spread throughout the region with a 'cost much cheaper. Vives has also stressed that this is a way to encourage family tourism 'and make the most attractive and unique' region during the summer months.

For its part, the secretary of the Association of Small Hotels and lodgings Priorat, Anna Figueras said that this proposal will also bring tourists to other areas still little known in the region. Among the different towns of the region involved in this initiative are Bellmunt, Masroig, Falset, Gratallops, Porrera, Torroja del Priorat or Cornudella.
