Fifteen local artists participate in the exhibition of the Festa Major

About fifteen artists will participate in the 18th Exhibition of Local Artists that is held annually coinciding with the Winter Festival of Salou. The show takes place at the Centro Cultural de la Torre Vella and will open its doors on Friday, February 1st. The inauguration will be in charge of the mayor Pere Granados. Within the framework of the Winter Festival, it is an ideal moment to hold this type of exhibition, since the cultural and festive dynamism reaches its peak. The main objective is to promote and publicize the artistic creation within the municipality of Salou.
This show, as is tradition, it is a space dedicated to the local plastic arts, making known works and authors who have Salou as a place of residence and inspiration, and this year reflects very different artistic and human approaches and a extraordinary technique.
The Councilor for Culture, Mª José Rodríguez stressed that "this 18th edition has the participation of fifteen authors with a long and recognized pictorial career, as well as other more novel, to promote the enriching dialogue of art." Rodriguez has also encouraged everyone "to discover the beauty that local artists have managed to capture in this new exhibition of their talent".
The authors who are part of the exhibition are Magda Arbiol Escoda, Ma. Luisa Barra Nogueras, Antonio Cabello Álvarez, Lorenzo Cervelló Mañas, Rosa Delgado Abuja M., Antonio García García, Sofía Gasviani, Belarmina Gómez Andújar, Isabelle González Zorrilla, Mari Paz Juli Fernández-Montes, Manel Planells Martí, Milagros Rodríguez González, Francisca Sierra Ramos, Luis Antonio Tecco Barrufet and Herminia Vicente Lucia.
The exhibition will remain open until March 3 at the Torra Vella Cultural Center, from Monday to Saturday, from 6 pm to 8 pm, Sundays and holidays closed.
