Platforms, steps and lookouts await you to continue work on the Camino de Ronda in Cap Salou

Facilitates access to Salou Cap Salou with twenty small gigs

El Camino de Ronda, once completed, should allow to walk around the coast salouense
Camino de Ronda Cap Salou

Salou. Costa Dorada. 09 May 2014. Salou Town Council has carried out twenty performances in the steepest areas of Cap Salou, in order to facilitate the access of visitors to these areas salouense coastline , although largely unknown, enjoy a great beauty.

The performances, consisting of placing wooden railings and walkways in the city's most dangerous step to locate steps , balconies and landing platforms , or put a refuge from Civil War at the end of the Punta del Cavall have been complete with cleaning paths and walkways that run along the coast.

The budget for these interventions was 54.000 euros, intended to bring the municipal lots that are in the sea in the vicinity of Cape Salou, where must flow in the future, the second stage of the Camino de Ronda, from the Replanells - which currently ends the first phase of the Camino de Ronda - to the lighthouse of Salou.

This route, therefore, is part of the second phase of the future Camino de Ronda and in the mayor, Pere Granados opinion, "is part of a partially unknown Salou but of great beauty and a great tourist attraction." The mayor visited these performances accompanied by the councilors of Land Management, and Job Marc Montagut, Jesus Barragan and several municipal officers.

El Camino de Ronda, paralyzed

During the visit to these actions, the mayor of Salou has again shown his displeasure with the Ministry of Development and currently the second and third phase of the Camino de Ronda should already be almost finished, but for now the works have not started. Granados also regretted that his government partner in the city of Salou, the PP has had no interest in this project, despite being the same color as the political party that runs the central government.

The first stage of the Camino de Ronda de Salou has been a success because it has a great acceptance by salouencs and visitors. After the first phase, the project Camino de Ronda should continue with the second and third phase, following the winding path of Cap Salou, the most abrupt and unfamiliar area, to leave fully connected the coast salouense from Cambrils to Pineda. Although the project was drafted, the central government, the PP, has alleged lack of funds to execute the work.

For his part, Mayor Pere Granados and municipal technical services proposed to the Ministry of Development substantial modification of the project to reduce the cost to prevent gridlock, but the project still does not run. Precisely the paralysis of the Camino de Ronda is just one of the reasons for the large gap between the government team headed Pere Granados and partners of the Popular Party, led by Mario Garcia, who is accused of institutional disloyalty Granados for this and other reasons.
