The Costa Dorada, a candidate to host the event Routes Europe 2012

Tarragona. Costa Dorada. The Costa Daurada has submitted an official bid to host the release of Routes of Europe in 2012. The event, held each year in a European city, is the platform for the promotion and contact managers of airlines and airports in Europe. The event highlighted because it allows the casual contact between delegates through workshops and interviews scheduled. The 2009 edition was held in Prague for three days with the participation of 650 delegates, nearly 200 airlines and 75 airports. Precisely in Prague began talks with the organizing company (The Route Developement Group Limited) around the candidacy of the Costa Dorada to become the headquarters of the year 2012. Last week the chairman of the Tourist Board, John Aregio, moved to Manchester to present and defend the nomination of the Tarragona area. The candidature of the Costa Dorada is set on a detailed information of the destination, the spaces for the development of meetings, the supply of hotel accommodation, transport, the program of visits before and after the event, and other items of value to those registered. This proposal will compete with six others, overcoming an initial filter to make it only 3 on which the organizers would take its final decision. The Board has developed this project in coordination with AENA and Aeroports de Catalunya. Since the Board interpreted very positive effects that can have an action like this to boost the Reus airport, especially at a time when a more important role is expected of local and regional in management of airport facilities.
