The mayor of Salou, Pere Granados, accompanied by the Councillor for Environment, Ramon Pascual, the Councillor for Beaches, Julia Gomez have flown today, the square of the Autonomous Communities of Salou, the Q Quality Flags for the beaches of Levante and POnent and the  flag ISOO 14001 for all beaches. Granados has welcomed the recognition by the different quality of the beaches and also recalled that the blue flags awarded to priests and East will be given shortly by the Government of Catalonia. Flags Q for tourism quality revalidated for a further year for the beaches of East and West, show that these two beaches of Salou meet quality standards established by the UNE 187001 and 188004, respectively. This certification is obtained after passing the relevant audits and, in fact, Salou is the only municipality in the province that has two beaches 'Q'. These standards certify compliance requirements related to equipment, cleaning, security, and rescue information, among others and will be valid throughout the year. In this sense, Granados said that "our efforts are directed from the administration to provide services and an environment based on excellence in quality and excellence giving full support to the private sector" and added that "This certification allows you to keep the leading position of our destination nationally and internationally" Regarding the certification of ISO 14001 is the seventh consecutive year that you get the flag for all the beaches, which represents a recognition of the environmental management of coastal salouenc. Thus, this important certificate has been renovated over last year, being an international recognition that audits the company for which AENOR certify that, to all the beaches, have established and maintained a rigorous environmental management system. Blue Flags Capellans also the beaches of Levante revalidated for another year the blue flag in recognition for their environmental quality as reported recently from the Association of Environmental and Consumer Education (eco). They have also received the Blue Flag Marina Salou. The beaches have passed the examinations conducted by these agencies based on four criteria for bathing water quality, environmental education and information, environmental management and safety, services and facilities. The blue flag will be delivered soon at an event promoted by the Generalitat of Catalonia.
