Start improving the access to the natural environment of Cap de Salou

The rebuilding works of the green areas of the Cap de Salou, which include the improvement of the access passage and the public areas of this urban park, have been triggered. The works include an alternative path for people with disabilities in order to avoid the two existing stretches of scale with the intention of promoting their use.

Taking advantage of the improvement, there has also been an action in the existing playground in the area providing it with new games.

Granados, wanted to emphasize "the importance of ordering this area by extending the pavements, and providing the area with new children's facilities, while improving access to the coves in the area so that they are more accessible because the beaches and coves are one of our great attractions ". Therefore, on the right side, parking spaces will be eliminated and a wide walk will be created to promote the comfortable pedestrian crossing.

The works have a total budget of € 98,610.67, which is being used for the remodeling of the current stage with the formation of new sections of the stairs and the creation of a half-way landing in order to shorten the current single section. The construction of an alternative path adapted from the middle of the forested mass is also being carried out that takes place in two different sections; on the one hand, on the top stairs, a wooden bridge that saves the ravine will be placed and adapted to the ground between the threshold of the Oromar building and Cala Font street; and the second section will be developed between the park of the street Punta de Cavall and the street Cala Font, adapting also to the current terrain. In addition, a pedestrian crossing between the two stages of the current step has been adapted and work is being carried out on the extension of some sidewalks to facilitate the continuity and access to Cala Vinya and Cala Font.
