A man who stabbed a taxi driver from Reus, is arrested in Salou

Salou. Costa Dorada. 01 April 2018. A man has been arrested in the vicinity of the Plaza de Europa in Salou, as the alleged perpetrator of the stabbing of a Reus taxi driver during the early hours of the morning. The wounded man is admitted to the Joan XXIII Hospital of Tarragona as a result of the stab wounds he suffered, reports the System of Medical Emergencies. The victim, 44, was transferred to the hospital at 2:50 and his condition was diagnosed as serious, since the knife wounded him in the chest, although at present there is no fear for his life. After this attack, the driver had suffered a traffic accident on the highway from Reus to Salou. Mossos d'Esquadra went to the place and SEM sent a basic support unit and a medical ambulance.

The police efforts, both Mossos d'Esquadra and Local Police, have been intensified to locate the perpetrator of the attack. An agent of the Local Police of Salou has found the alleged perpetrator at seven thirty today. The criminal has thrown stones at the policeman and has fled on foot. Finally, he has been able to stop in the vicinity of the Plaça d'Europa.
