City Council approves Salou municipal mandate for 2011-2015

Salou.Costa Dorada. The City of Salou has held the first plenary session of this term, after the inauguration of the plenary on 11 June 2011 - and has set up the municipal mandate for 2011-2015. The government consists of seven councilors from Convergencia i Unió and four from the Partido popular. The agreement between both parties provides that within three years the mayor, Pere Granados, will transfer the Town Hall to  Mario Garcia, who will hold the role in the last year of office. The distribution of the different departments of the City of Salou is as follows: - Pere Granados Carrillo: Mayor, citizen participation, and communication protocol - Marc Montagut : Department of management and planning - Jesus Barragan Pascual: Department of economic, employment and new technologies - Julia Gomez Mesonero: Department of beaches, environmental quality and sustainability of council and childhood enseyament - Maria Jose Rodriguez Andrades: Department of culture and events: street maintenance, road and public services, public health - Felipe Ortiz Martinez: Department of Sports, Youth and Recreation - Benedict Dams Sureda: Department of Tourism - Mario Garcia Vidal: Department of internal services, and capital ceoncessions - Pedro Lavilla Heras: Department of Social Action - Reyes Pino Mota: Department of Economic Development, trade and consumer markets - Marc Peralta Alarcon: Department of public safety, civil protection and mobility Has also been given the full account of the decrees of the mayor appointing the deputy mayor are as follows: Mario Garcia, 1st Lieutenant, Marc Montagut, 2nd Lieutenant, Jesus Barragan, 3rd Lieutenant; Reyes Pino 4th deputy, Julia Gomez, Deputy 5th, Benedict Dams, 6th Lieutenant. It also approved the schedule of plenary sessions are held, as in the last term-the last Wednesday of the month at noon in ordinary session.   The plenary session of the City of Salou also served to establish the economic rewards that will both councilors of the new corporation and full-time members of various elected and mark a line of cost containment started already in 2009 when the government decided to voluntarily cut 5% of salaries and positions of political trust in a cut that was added after the decree of Spain reduced to 5% on average and more now in this mandate, and for the next 4 years fixed the freezing of salaries of council members, the positions of trust and assignment of local groups. As for positions of trust, also cut the number of charges including the 13 who were initially appointed in the previous term to 7 today.
