PortAventura manages half the hotel rooms under BCN World

Salou. Costa Dorada. 21 October 2013. Investindustrial , the owner of PortAventura , will manage half the hotel rooms under BCN World, following the agreement reached by the group Veremonte , driver of the macrocomplex . In an economic and business conference on Wednesday in Salou by Gresol Foundation , were given new details of the alliances that are forming the business framework that will shape the future of BCN World and where Carlo Bonomi said: "We will bring our two cents and each of the Portaventura Resorts will manage the hotel beds , in total about 3,000 of the 6,000 places provided " .

For his part, President of Veremonte , Xavier Adserà , considered PortAventura´s input very positive : " We got the family tour operator we needed to manage this part of business," he said , and explained as in the first of the resorts to be built will be a total of 1,600 hotel rooms, 500 of which will be held with investment from PortAventura and the ability to build 5 hotels , with a total supply of 3,000 hotel rooms . He also noted : "The most familiar part presented today plus others investors added to generate a framework that will make our country able to attract new tourists and always bearing in mind that a company who knows the product, knows the territory and is a prestigious international brand . " Also, the mayor emphasized the great colaboration that currently exists between the city of Salou and PortAventura . " We carry out projects to promote tourism jointly and relationships are very fluid ," he said . " Therefore, it is a great partner in this project that is in our territory."

With its entry into the project , leading the tourism offer to the family , PortAventura joins the three known investors : Meliá through its luxury brand 'ME' in the hotel sector of Value Retail in stores luxury , and Melco Entertainment in the area of ​​gambling and casinos. BCN World´s President , Xavier Adserà , reiterated that the project works will start during the first half of 2014 .
