Hospitalet de l'Infant in September will host the 2011 World Championships Raceboard

Hospitalet de l'Infant. Costa Dorada. The facilities of the Club Náutico Hospitalet-Vandellos (CNHV) will stage the World Championship Raceboard 2011, from 5 to 10 September 2011. This will be the first to be held in Catalonia in this mode world championship windsurfing, characterized by the use of any table that has the keel, with a maximum length of 380 cm and a maximum beam of 1 meter. Last year was held in Latvia and in 2009, Germany. As expected the organizers of this event (the CNHV with the collaboration of the City of Vandellòs Hospitalet de l'Infant, and other sponsors) will take part over a hundred athletes. During the 5 days of competition (from 6 to 10 September) will host a total of 15 tests (3 per day), one of which is long distance, which is a novelty. Participants in all categories and sub-20, male and female, who will fight for the world title, while participants in categories U17, Master and Grand Master, was struggling for a trophy. The inaugural championship will be held on 5 September and the closing, with the awards ceremony on 10 September. During the last days of the competition, offered to the public and participants a series of complementary leisure activities, to create an atmosphere of celebration and participation. In this regard, we note that the tournament will not only promote tourism to the town, but also windsurfing and sailing in general.
