Finishes in Salou the XI edition of the Spanish Open Dance 2009 this Tuesday, December 8th



Salou. Costa Dorada. This Tuesday December 8th finishes in Salou the XI edition of the Spanish Open 2009 which has taken place on 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 December at the Municipal Sports Pavilion in the municipality. The promoter of the event, Antoni Mas, has remembered as "the dance will soon recognized as a sports federation in Spain itself, while in Catalonia, already have a recognized federation." For the eleventh consecutive year and sponsored by the Tourism Council of the City of Salou and the cooperation of the Athletic Department, the capital of the Costa Daurada is preparing to welcome a new edition of the Spanish Open Dance Sport. An event that has a cost of 300,000 euros, of which 55,000 are provided by the Tourist Board, a sum which has been adding support in kind. There have benn five days of competitions that took place in different categories and styles, and participated on national and international dancers. Also on Friday 4th at celebration took  place the VI Team Match autonomous communities, with the participation of Autonomy of Catalonia, Euskadi, Valencia, Madrid, Castella La Mancha, Aragon, Balearic Islands and Galicia. The facilities of the Municipal Sports Pavilion Salou have hosted the dance competitions, prepared in 4 different dance floors in order to accommodate all participants. All groups except Standard and Latin Junior and Senior Youth of the category A. The councilman of Tourism, Alberto del Hierro, explained: "We are delighted to welcome another year an event of this nature as it implies a significant recognition as a municipality and capital of the Costa Dorada iamb undoubted media coverage . For his part, Mayor Pedro Granados, recalled how "this administration is committed to maintain and enhance such mass events to promote the season." In fact, he recalled how "we lived rrally Catalunya-Costa Daurada, in addition to the Supermoto world championship and now this opens Spanish dance," which is a great sporting event. Like every year, a total of 4 to 6 television programs have been recorded that will be issued by different channels. The organizers expect participation of about 1800 pairs, 3600 participants, in addition to the large audience that accompanies this event.
