The monastery of Santes Creus and its surroundings

 The landscape of the tour is a combination of the extensive grain fields, vineyards and almond Plan of Santa Maria and forests along the banks of Gaia river. A visit to the magnificent monastery of Santes Creus arrodonirà route. Shortly after leaving a detour to the right that leads, in less than 1 km in the former chapel of Sant Pere de Gaia, belonging to the municipality of Aiguamúrcia. This is a tenth century old building in ruins today. Continuing the journey, you get to the C-37 (km 9.6) and turn right into Bridge Armentera, the town where stands the church of Santa Magdalena. In the neighborhood of the planet, the eastern margin of the river, take a cart path down the ravine. At 10.8 km turn left one on the left that leads to the cave of Mas. In crossing the stream Throat (332 m) up to the neck more Alegret (381 m, 11.4 km.) It crosses the stream Sales (335 m, km 12.1). After the trench Romenguera path leads to another that runs along the gorge. Must turn left and then a detour to the right that leads to the fountain of the Rosinyol. Once you have entered into an advanced 14 km road signposted with white and red: the GR-7-2 (Long Distance Path). The trip makes a zigzag and reaches the Cistercian monastery of Santes Creus (315 m, 14.9 km) missed. It can also make a brief walk through lush forest that runs along the river Gaia. It crosses the river Gaia (290 m, 15.4 km) and take the road towards Vila TP-2002-round following the GR. At 600 meters (km 16) need to leave the road and turn off on the right track by following the GR signs. Abandoned the GR (17.3 km) and falls right on the path of ceremonies, left at first, which leads back to the Pla de Santa Maria, coming down the street Vidal i Barraquer, parallel to Main Street , which had departed.
