Salou celebrates this 2022 its Fiesta Mayor on October 30 with more than 40 cultural, sports and leisure activities to enjoy with family and friends.
The Festival commemorates the day that Salou achieved the segregation of the municipality of Vila-seca after 10 years of fighting in court, thanks to the initiative and tenacity of Salouans.
The program of activities and scheduled times are as follows:
XII Vila de Salou Dominoes Open
At 9:30 a.m. at the Club Dòmino Salou (C/ Francolí, 4). Registrations can be made the same day, from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
VIII Trobada bastonera of Salou
At 11 am, parade from the Masia Tous. By the Sal-i-Ou Association
Ball of Tambourines
At 6:00 p.m., in the streets of the old town
‘Balla amb els balls, amb xocolatada’
At 6:00 p.m., in the Plaza del Carrilet. Activity to learn about the Ball de Bastons, the Ball d'Espases, the Ball de Tambourines and the Ball de Pastorets.
At 7:30 p.m., performance of the Ball de Pastorets, in the same place.
Delivery of the XX October 30 Awards for Children and Youth Creativity
at 5:30 p.m., at the Teatre Auditori de Salou (TAS)
Proclamation in the Plenary Hall of the City Council. It will be in charge of José María Reyes Cañellas, president of the Salou Futbol Sala Club. The capacity is limited. At the end of the act, the firecracker will be activated to start the party, on Paseo 30 d'Octubre
Inauguration of the exhibition 'Great Masters of painting'
At 7 pm, in the Torre Vella in Salou. The exhibition will remain open until December 17, from Monday to Saturday, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sundays and holidays, closed.
At 8 pm, in the same Torre Vella, a performance by the Eixàrcia Choir and the Ama-Lur Basque Choir.
14th Popular Excursion
At 8:30 a.m., from Calle Vaporet, At 8 a.m., bibs can be collected in Plaza del Segregació, and at 8:15 a.m., the trenet will leave from in front of the Salou Center Pavilion. Activity organized by the Salouenc Excursionist Club.
14th popular walk
from the Plaza de la Segregació. At 10 a.m., the numbers can be collected at the starting point. Organize the Grup Anem to Walk.
Popular pedaling
At 10:30 a.m., starting from in front of the Salou Center Pavilion. The bib collection will be at 9:30 a.m. Organizes Challenge Salou and Salou Triatló Costa Daurada.

Dinner October 30
At 9:30 p.m., at the 4R Casablanca Restaurant, organized by the Associació d’Amics 30 d’Octubre. Reservations must be made at the Joieria Rovira, Fernan's and Comercial Nacel establishments.
Symbolic planting of the tree on Paseo 30 d'Octubre
At 9 am, in the Emprius area, to commemorate the 33rd anniversary of segregation.
At 10 a.m., visit to the Racó de Salou adaptation works, at the end of Vaporet street.
Popular breakfast,
At 10 am, on Paseo Jaume I, in front of the Municipal Tourist Board, sponsored by 4R Casablanca Restaurant. On the walk, you can exchange the stickers of the album 'Viatge en el Temps: Coneix la història de Salou'.
Parade of popular elements of Salou
At 11 a.m., passing through the old town, and until arriving at the Manuel Albinyana park. The Canons d'en Pascual, the Gegants, the Nanos, the Mulassa, the Ball de Bastons, the Ball d'Espases, the Ball de Pastorets, the Ball de Tambourines and the Morena de Salou will participate.
At 12 noon, mass, in the Church of Santa María del Mar.
Great popular paella
At 2:00 p.m., in Manuel Albinyana Park. The price is 2 euros per person. Tickets can be purchased from October 24, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
At 3 pm, traditional rocket launch.
In the afternoon, dance with the Ruben's orchestra.
Parade of fire
At 8 pm, with the Diables Maleïts, the Bruixes Latemó and the Xaloc, from Plaça de la Pau to Paseo Jaume I; which will end with the outbreak of fireworks at the end of the festival, at 9:00 p.m., in the Espigó del Moll.
Panellet Festival
On October 31, the Panellet Festival will be held, in Carrilet Square, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Through Club Xic's, boys and girls can participate dressed as chestnut and castañeros, and can be photographed with Rocky and Confetina, the children's club mascots, in addition to enjoying panellet workshops, inflatables, wooden games and a snack.
At 5 pm, there will be a popular chocolate party, with inflatables and the children's show 'Explosive', by La Cremallera.
30th anniversary of the Municipal Public Library of Salou
During the Fiesta Mayor on October 30, the 30th anniversary of the Municipal Public Library of Salou will also be celebrated, with various activities. The programming is as follows:
Starting at 11 a.m., workshops with the magical characters Ratoncito Pérez, Esquilu, Maritxu Teilatukoa and Fada de lIt's Dents.
At 12 noon, show 'La veritable història de la Fada de les Dents', by Mai Tant Teatre, in collaboration with the Servei de Biblioteques de Catalunya and the Col·legi Oficial d'Odontòlegs i Stomatòlegs de Catalunya.
International Libraries Day

Halloween in Salou
In the presentation of the Fiesta Mayor on October 30, the mayor of Salou, Pere Granados, expressed his satisfaction "for having recovered all the acts that were already a tradition of this celebration, such as the performances and parades by the entities cultural, and breakfast and popular paella". He has encouraged the population of Salou to enjoy this comprehensive program, which "commemorates a very symbolic date for the people of Salou".
For his part, the Councilor for Cultural Services, Xavier Montalà, has highlighted the fact that "the October 30 Festival is always characterized, especially, by the large participation of the local entities of the municipality, who have shown us their implication in the elaboration of this program of acts”.
Likewise, the Councilor for Children, Julia Gómez, has announced that "this year, the smallest of the house will also be able to enjoy the castañada, on October 31, with the great Panellet Festival, in the Children's Space, a long-awaited initiative by the families of Salou”.
