El mal temps obliga a posposar el Cós Blanc i els actes del cap de setmana

The holidays are moved next week

Salou. Costa Dorada. 31 January 2019.
The adverse weather forecasts for this weekend (2 and 3 February) have forced to postpone all festive events next week. This has been decided by the City of Salou in a meeting after knowing the technical and civi protection reports, which discourage the organization of outdoor activities due to the adverse weather conditions that are expected; with gusts of sustained winds that would make the celebration of the party dangerous, and could endanger the physical integrity of the people. Thus, it has been agreed that the totality of the activities that go from Saturday February 2 to 6.30h with the early morning with charanga and until the last act of the party dance in the tent on Sunday at 20.30h are postponed a week. All events will be moved to Saturday 9 (day of the Coso Blanco) and Sunday 10, maintaining the same hours, locations and routes.
The Councilor for Culture, Mª José Rodríguez, regretted this decision but "before the reports that we asked for Civil Protection and Local Police for the weekend and the adverse weather conditions do that, for security, we have to transfer them next weekend" . In fact, the councilor has insisted that "the gusts of wind that have announced the weekend make impossible all the assembly of the facilities and structures of iron, everything is very complex and we prefer not to risk".
Rodríguez concluded that "we know very badly, especially for the Coso Blanco, but we must prioritize the safety of the more than 30,000 attendees and 3,500 participants, to be able to live a party with tranquility and I ask everyone to change their agenda so that do, we really want to enjoy the Fiesta with the safety of people. "
The acts of today, Thursday, January 31 and tomorrow, Friday, February 1, remain unchanged. On Monday, February 4, they will also run normally.
