Salou's gastronomic calendar 2023: 10 proposals to savor Salou all year round

The Tasta Salou is one of the gastronomic activities of Salou



Salou. Costa Dorada. 21 March 2023. "Salou, a flavor of the whole year" is the slogan that defines the gastronomic calendar of Salou for 2023 prepared by the Tourist Board and the Salou City Council, with the Associació d'Empresaris d'Hostaleria (AEH) of Salou. In total 10 gastronomic proposals to enjoy all year round, with all the senses, of the gastronomy and the best dishes of Salou.

The 10 gastronomic proposals of Salou for 2023 are:
  • Tasta Salou: these conferences are already underway, and are held every Thursday afternoon, starting at 7:00 p.m., in the participating restaurants. For 6 euros, you can taste the creations of the chefs, which vary every week, and which are paired with wines and cavas from Raventós Codorniu. You can consult the proposals on the social networks of Tasta Salou and Salou Food Experience. As of April, new restaurants are incorporated.
  • Gastronomic days of rice: from April 14 to May 7, the fourth edition arrives. In Salou's restaurants, Delta rice will be the protagonist. They will finish with a popular rice, on May 7, within the framework of the Sabor Salou fair.
  • Sabor Salou: the weekend of May 5 to 7. It is one of the most consolidated gastronomic initiatives, with 11 years of experience. On Paseo Jaume I, this gastronomic fair allows you to taste all kinds of delicacies prepared by restaurateurs from the capital of the Costa Dorada.
  • Gastrotour 2023: from June 2 to 11. It is a classic, diverse and themed route, for all palates, touring the different restaurants in Salou.
  • Amb gust d'estiu: on June 18 on Paseo Jaume I. It is the novelty of Salou's gastronomic calendar and its mission is to welcome summer in a tasty and exciting way for all the senses.
  • King Jaume I Festival: on September 3, in the restaurants of Salou, a culinary tribute is paid to one of the most important figures in the history of Salou, King Jaume I, as part of the cultural recreation festival of the moment in that the Catalan monarch set sail from the port of Salou to conquer Majorca.
  • Gastro Wine & Music: on October 1, at the Torre Vella in Salou. After two successful editions, this initiative returns in the afternoon with exhibitions and show cooking by the best restaurateurs in Salou.
  • Salouween Street Festival: October 27 and 28, on Paseo Jaume I. As part of the celebration of Halloween, the second edition of this festive and gastronomic proposal that exceeded all expectations in the first edition.
  • Squid gastronomic days: From November 17 to December 3. A classic initiative of the restaurants of Salou, with the star product of the municipality: the squid. The days coincide with the Squid Festival and the traditional fishing contest.
  • Nadal amb tots els sentits: December 1, in the streets of Salou. New initiative that will unite innovation and gastronomic tradition to kick off the Christmas festivities in the capital of the Costa Dorada.
The gastronomic calenda "Salou, a flavor of the whole year" has been presented on March 20, 2023 in Barcelona, with the presence of the mayor of Salou and president of the Tourist Board, Pere Granados; the Councilor for Economic Dynamization, Hèctor Maiquez; the general director of Tourism, Marta Domènech; the president of the Global Wine Tourism Organization, José Antonio Vidal, and chef Carme Ruscalleda.
