Improve bus service in Salou with more direct shipments from Tarragona

Since today, June 11th is put into operation a new express service between exits Salou, Vila-seca Tarragona and with the introduction of 11 new semi expeditions daily (Monday through Friday) that will link these people with public transport and more competitive times. The service is to be conducted by the company Plana. If until now the time exceeded the hour to the journey of nine miles now, with these new lines, the time is reduced to half an hour.

Currently there are between Tarragona and Salou 500.000 passengers using these services. According to the councilman of Mobility and Transport of Salou, Alberto Iron is "a very important step for the service user population, and especially provides facilities for many students who travel to Tarragona," he said. "I understand that these lines will improve mobility."

This improvement stems from the restructuring of the conventional line today and from Monday to Friday will be 24 new expeditions between Salou and Vila-seca Tarragona (12 and 12 round-trip ticket) with intermediate stops. Additionally, the service will reach an area of Salou which hitherto had no access to public transport with a stop in the street Ciutat de Reus 1 and another at the end of the street in front of the square of September 11.

Saturday business users will have 14 new outlets between Salou and Tarragona (7 of 7 round trips) between 9:05 and 21:30, representing an increase of supply and between Vila-seca Tarragona with two more outlets.

On Sundays and holidays the service will offer eight new conventional expeditions between Salou and Tarragona (4 trips and 4 back), thus increasing the journey in 3 expeditions. These stops will also end at the bus station in the city of Tarragona, which will link with other services in the direction of Camp Station.
