The Savinosa beach in Tarragona, ready for summer with new access and improving their environment

La Savina beach in Tarragona is ready for this summer after the improvements have fet the Environment Ministry and the Municipality of Tarragona. Specifically, we have created areas with ladders and access for people with physical difficulties. Apart from the new access, has also installed a platform that serves as the boundary between the sand and urbanized. Areas have also been cleaned of debris and rubbish, have been repaired walls and slopes and have rearranged the existing bars.

These actions have been in charge of the ministry has invested 200.000 euros, while the Municipality of Tarragona has earmarked 101.000 euros for the creation of space for the Red Cross and parking, among other small improvements. All this is part of a pilot test that will draft a management plan for use of the beaches in the city. This plan, scheduled for next year, will include the installation of services on the beaches, taking into account the needs of each and the integration of the environment.

Improvement works to the beach La Savina began last February and are included in the policy of preserving and maintaining the Ministry of Environment carried out on the coast with the collaboration of the Ajuntament de Tarragona.
