The Center Miró of Mont-Roig del Camp, in collaboration with the City Council, held on 13th and June 14th Miró Weekend, which this year reaches its fifth edition. During two days, the village streets are decorated with several reproductions of paintings by the brilliant artist Joan Miró, who during 65 years spent the summer in Mont-Roig.

Reproductions of paintings, 41 in total, carried out by different colors safatans groups, neighbors and people's organizations, can be visited over the weekend in the historic center of the village, next to the new church. As events on Saturday June 13th will be held on "Open X-Raid Razas Center Miró" proof of adventure that combines mountain biking, trekking, orientation and Career Guidance Miró. Already in the afternoon the group Tandarika Orkestar and Grallers accompany the municipality's "Ninots Miró" in the traditional passacaglia which is held every year. New in this fifth edition will also be a bar Miró.

Joan Miró was for the first time in Mont-Roig in 1911, at eighteen years to recover from a long illness. His father had purchased the previous year, the "Mas d'en Ferratges" to the Marquis de Mont-Roig. It was an extensive property, situated between the sea and the village with a large white house which contained a tower at the time of the Marquis's father (a mont-rogenc made fortune in Cuba). Since then, every summer for 65 years, Miró returned to the house to spend the summers.
