In this sense, and in terms of hotels, Salou General Plan envisaged that in case of demolition and reconstruction of a hotel, this lost volume, a condition that favors neither encourages investment for the modernization of the hotel industry. To correct this situation, the municipal government has already begun work on changing the General Plan, so that hotels, event be rebuilt, not lose volume. Most of the 52 hotels in the area are three stars and some of them are 25 years or older.



In addition to this measure, the candidacy of CiU in Salou also proposes widening sidewalks, reduce circulation space for cars and transform the whole area into a powerful tourist, shopping and entertainment center with the objective to maintain active and open for all year.
