Tapiró, a great artist of the nineteenth century

Josep Tapiró and has been one of the most significant and recognized artists of our nineteenth-century art. The watercolors made in Rome between 1863 and 1876 were appreciated by the virtuous and careful style. The picturesque looks and compelling expression of his popular types led him to commercial success. Later, in 1877, became the first mainland painter who established his residence in the city of Tangier.

From this place he made an approach to the North African society, which resulted in the painting in a realistic rigor, which sometimes became their creations in real testimonial documents.
